(Article Researched and Written By: Syed Shahzaib Ahmed)
Hello this is Shahzaib, how are you all ?, i hope you all are doing well. Once again i am come up with the valuable information which you found very useful, irrespective of your country or languages, this is very important and very much worthy information which i am going to share with you.
Answer: Hacking is a security threat or a attack which can harm or infect the end-users. The victim user could be affected by the random openings of the Explorers or any window, or it could be any prompt message from the attack, threatening to the user for demanding money or other confidential information.
Security threats consist of three types:
1. Threat to Confidentiality
2. Threat to Integrity
3. Threat to Availability
The attacker may attack through one of the above types of security threat, and to get rid of all these attacks and threats, there are some mechanism and methods. The users on the Internet, which are doing social-networking or performing any task online, one should keep in mind that hackers are everywhere and might be anywhere in the Internet. It could harm your computer to steal confidential information such as : Banking details, credit card information, Stealing Passwords (Better to use encrypted password), and many other things which you can't even imagine.
To be safe and secure while using Internet, there are few things, which should keep in mind:
1. Try not to use simple character/alphabetic passwords, better to use (Encrypted or Ciphertext based passwords), although there are some algorithms involve in order to make encryped or ciphertext based text. I would prefer to use simple and secure method of choosing password, that is the password should consist of Big(Caps Lock on) and Small Letters, including integers(numbers), and special characters, and make sure it's only you who know the actual password :).
2. Try to visit only trusted and legitimate websites. i.e : the website which has the prefix "https", and HTTPS is an abbreviation of "Hyper-Text Transfer Protocol Secure", example: https://www.google.com
3.Try not to share confidential and secret information online, because this could be harmful for you and provide the privilege for the hacker to easily access your secret information.
4. Don't install or download Untrusted Softwares, Freewares and Sharewares, install those softwares which are trusted and widely used, and from famous vendors/companies. An untrusted software may consist of Severe Viruses, including Malwares, Worms, Trojans, and Spywares. A software who's extension is ".exe" should be deal efficiently and accordingly through antivirus, because most of the viruses are from this extension.
5. Last but not the least, try to install trusted and famous Anti-Virus softwares, in order to make your computer/laptop/notebook safe and secure from Viruses and Hackers. I would recommend to install Microsoft Security Essential, which is fast, reliable and doesn't make your system slow down. Microsoft Security Essential can only be downloaded and installed, if you have a Genuine and Activated Windows. Here is the link to download MSE : http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security-essentials-download, and click on Download now button to download.
Now what is ETHICAL HACKING ? (Did you know ?)
Answer: Ethical hacking is done only with the permission of companies/organizations owner, and it is done by the expert ethical hackers who attacks the system to check the vulnerabilities and malicious code to make sure that everything is working perfectly without any security threat. Remember ethical hackers are the disciplined and follow rules and regulations provided by the company, and although it's well-reputed and decent job, and one should feel proud instead of being guilt. Hacking is adopted but not acceptable, and ethical hacking is not only adopted but acceptable widely.
I hope you follow my instructions, and try to make yourself, your computer and your confidential information safe and secure online. Because Internet is not a bad place to be, but there are some mechanisms and methods to use it properly.
